SHADO SkyDiver

This is a 1/48 scale model of the fabulous SkyDiver submarine-fighter plane combo from the 1969-70 Gerry Anderson TV show "UFO". This model is studio scale, the same size as one of the filming minatures used on the show. Though it's sized like the smaller studio model, it has many of the details of the larger version, which looks better, in my opinion.


Sky 1 is available now...Diver is currently in development with a release expected sometime in 2024.


In the pictures below, images 1 and 2 are renderings of the Sky 1 CAD model. Image 3 is the Sky 1 master pattern pieces, image 4 is Sky 1's decal sheet and images 5-8 are a casting of that kit. Images 9-12 are renders of the SkyDiver CAD model

The Sky 1 kit measures about 11.5" x 9" x 4.5", is comprised of 26 resin plastic parts and includes a decal sheet. The fuselage is hollow and the windows are cast in clear.

It should be noted that this is a resin plastic, hand-made garage kit and will require a high degree of modeling skill to complete. Buyers should be well-acquainted with fitting, shaping, filling and sanding resin kits.

The price for Sky 1 is $150.00 plus shipping. When Diver is finished, the price for the full SkyDiver will be $400 plus shipping. Those who buy Sky 1 will be able to later buy Diver for $250 plus shipping. Prices are subject to change.
